Often mistaken for baboons, the mandrill is the most colourful of old world monkeys. While they sleep in trees they are largely floor dwelling monkeys, who forage across the rainforests of equatorial Africa in troops sometimes as large as 600.
‘Mandrill’ is first of three in the series ‘Colourful Faces’. Hand drawn with bright ink and watercolours onto thick watercolour paper, this fine art print captures the distinctive and expressive character of the mandrill.
