For me, this is about radiance in unlikely places – life carrying its own light, even when no one is watching.

These mushrooms feel like they’re lit from within. I painted them in layers of viridian and teal, their gills glowing against a deep night ground. They’re inspired by the Jack-o’-lantern mushroom, which glows faintly in the dark – a quiet trick of nature.

The curves repeat like a rhythm, creating a meditative pattern. From across the room, the bold green silhouette catches the eye. Up close, the brushstrokes reveal their own texture and pulse.

Mushrooms symbolise connection – the hidden links between things, the quiet structures holding life together.

This painting is both a celebration and a reminder: even in shadow, life glows. It’s about mystery, the parts of the forest we rarely see in such detail, and how even in darkness, nature finds a way to shine.

Please understand that every print is made to order, and as a small business (it's just me) I do not hold stock. Because of this I cannot offer returns at this time. I’m looking to offer the service in the future once I am able to.
